About Peter Williams Riding Apparel
The Peter Williams story began back in 1967, when Peter started designing pants for jockeys. What began as a passion for creating garments that truly fit the rider soon grew into something much bigger — designs that would go on to be worn by elite equestrian athletes competing at the Olympics, the mounted police, and everyday riders from pony club to paddock.
For more than 50 years, Peter has poured his heart, skill, and eye for detail into every design. He doesn’t just make pants — he designs for the body. He understands how a great pair of riding pants should move, feel, and perform in the saddle. That understanding is what has made Peter Williams one of the most trusted names in equestrian apparel across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
In 2024, now in his 80s, Peter decided it was time to step back and move toward retirement. The business was proudly purchased by Lisa Deeth, who brings a background in manufacturing, marketing, and a deep love of the land and all things horses. With Peter still closely advising Lisa on designs and sharing his secrets to what makes a perfect fit, Lisa is continuing the legacy he built — honouring his craftsmanship while taking the brand to new heights.
